Remember Me…
Okay so “Remember Me” was one of the realist movies I’ve ever seen. The end of the movie shot such a gigantic middle finger at everyone watching it that I sat in stunned silence for nearly 10 minutes after the credits started rolling.
And then: the water works came.
I spent most of the evening crying off and on about a combination of things, almost all of which had to do with how phenomenally messed up the lives of people affected by 9/11 became after the events.
There wasn’t a single moment of sugar coating throughout the entire movie. The acting was Raw. Impassioned. Real.
I absolutely loved it and although I watched it sitting alone in my apartment on a Saturday night after experiencing my first broken heart, I was profoundly affected by the film.
Go see it. Or not. I can’t decide which action to recommend.
